Part 1 of 2021 Racing Plans - British Rallycross Championship and BTRDA Championship
Really pleased to announce I will be taking part in the British Rallycross Championship and BTRDA Championship with the Bell Rallycross Team in the BMW Mini Cooper S class.
After BT Sport (alongside other channels), announced it would be covering the British Rallycross Championship it will give us and our partners a great opportunity for TV coverage in front of a wide audience with rounds at Lydden Hill, Pembrey, Knockhill Blyton Park and a final round at Spa in Belgium.
After taking part in only one Rallycross race back in 2017 i have been focused on gaining commercial partners and circuit racing. With lockdown in 2020 putting the brakes on for everyone, i had tested at Silverstone, Donington and Oulton Park before lockdown began meaning I did one race in the Focus Cup and then did some testing in the Ginetta GTA (part of the British GT Championship), Mini Cooper (part of the BTCC package) and City Car Cup with options available also in the VW Cup which I am still pursuing as part 2 of the 2021 racing plans.
I now have a great opportunity of being part of the Bell Rallycross Team, who with David Bell, have won the 2018 championship, 2nd in 2019 and winning the 2020 British Rallycross Championships, in the BMW Mini Copper S class. Along with the expert knowledge of Tony Bells years of experience in Rallycross as a driver and as a team owner, I believe together it will give us the best opportunity to succeed in both championships. It will be a steep learning curve, but both myself and the team are up for the challenge and giving it everything to deliver results for the championship bid. Tony and David Bell at BRT I believe are the best team to get us there and I am looking forward to getting started for a great and challenging season in both championships.
More news on the championship, sponsors and part 2 of our circuit racing plans soon.
I would also like to thank all our partners that we have continued to work with over the last few years to make racing possible Eighty Seventy Group, Ravenol Oils, Questmead, ITG Filters, Bloc Eyewear, Pemberton Tyres, NAR Performance and Abbott & Rowlands.
